This is one of the weirdest demo's I've ever heard. Trying to fit it in a description or genre, seems like an impossible task.
Dysthanasia hails from Turku, Finland but unlike its dark musical colleagues, it doesn't excel in ice-cold, extreme doom. Instead, this one-man project is a fascinating musical proposition that evokes different feelings depending on the point of view it is approached. Sometimes it sounds cold and digital, some times warm with an almost 'medieval' feel; sometimes it sounds sad, but also plain silly at other times; sometimes it sounds doomy, but it's nowhere near the sound of doom metal.
Are you confused by this description? I know I am. But there is no other way to describe this musical weirdness. The only thing I can say without sounding like a total fool, is that Dysthanasia's sound is based on orchestral keyboards, digital drums and distorted, love-it-or-hate-it voice.
